Add Pinterest Pin It Button To Blogger Post

Last time I wrote about how to add Pinterest Pin It button I designed to WordPress Page and Post, today since I realize that other Pinterest addicts who happen to love blogging as well are using Blogger instead of WordPress. So cheer up Bloggers, here’s the simple way to add the Pin It button to your Blogger Posts.

The Steps:

Important: Always backup your template before you do anything described in this post! I will NOT responsible for any damage or template error on your blogger template.

Go To Blogger > Design > Edit HTML
Click Expand widgets templates box
Search for
If you want to add the button just below your post titles then add the cheat code below just above
If you want the button appear at the end of your posts then paste the following cheat code just below

Hit save and that’s it!

Note: The above code is currently using my PinIt-Compact button, if you wish to replace the button with your own button or Pinterest PinIt button replace the source image “http://chykalophia.com/images/pinit-compact.png” to your button source image/location.

Support Pink – Designs for Breast Cancer Month

Breast cancer has become an international awareness of which happen annually in October. With so many foundations, organizations to companies trying to support the cause of Support Pink, I found some best artwork in graphic design and multimedia that deliver the message and ideas. Though, since the Support Pink campaign is not limited to the organizations, I also have seen individuals supporting this cause by changing their profile picture to something pink and with the little pink ribbon on it. If you haven’t check yet, I did the same think for Chykalophia Design Facebook Page and Google + account. Ecommerce Store Design: 5 Tips to Help you Sell More

Clunky layouts, dreary aesthetics and a confusing user experience can ruin the online shopping experience. Understanding how to effectively design your ecommerce site can go a long way in building your clientele, increasing loyalty and driving sales. The tips below are top-level concepts that should be employed in all phases of store design – so whether you are starting from scratch, re-launching with a fresh UI or making small tweaks to a layout that is performing well, it is critical to keep these 5 ideas top of mind.

Make your site easy to navigate. Not every person that visits your site will be on the same level of web literacy, or able to view from the same type of equipment. Try and keep your pages simple; overloaded web pages can be intimidating or even distracting to consumers. It is fine to include supplements to your page’s primary mission, but be wary of how prominent you make these in your design. Along the same lines, make your site name and logo a bold, noticeable part of your design. No one needs to be left guessing what site they have stumbled upon.
Know your audience. If your ecommerce site is geared toward the elderly, know better than to implement frivolous and color-happy backgrounds and images. Design choices should revolve around who you want to view your site, catering to your core demographics and buying audience. This type of marketing should be apparent and consistent throughout your site.
User interactivity. Allow customer reviews and comments, which add a certain degree of trust between customers and your business. The social interactivity may even serve as a potential source of sales/advertising. You may also want to look into security badges that are often incorporated into a web page to verify a site’s security when dealing with sensitive credit card information that is incredibly valuable to a customer.
Pay attention to what’s working. Your first site design should not be your last. Getting a firm grasp on what design choices work best for your business is important in maintaining healthy branding and, of course, sales rates. Don’t be afraid to interact with your customers when able; their design input is ultimately what matters to your business model and, thusly, your bottom line.
Let your users search. This is an important feature to have included in your ecommerce site. Search boxes are standard on all sites, business-related or not. Your customer will at one point or another go looking for this particular tool, and if they do not see it, that hinders not only your credibility but your site’s grade as a user-friendly market.

Add Pinterest Pin It Button To WordPress Page & Post

I was working on one web design project for vintage event/theme rental company, Intaglio Vintage of which you have seen the teaser on my Facebook Page. And since Pinterest has been very common for the owners, I propose the idea of adding the Pinterest Pin It button for their blog post and inventories.

After researching for some plugin or similar feature for this, I only found the Pin It Button for the Bookmark on Website Browser. You can use it by simply dragging the button to your bookmark of either Safari, Chrome, or Firefox.

Another one is Pinterest Follow Button, which I have also added on Intaglio Vintage’s website header. Pinterest also provide the Pin It button for website which I thought could be the solution for this project. Sadly, this only works if you set the url of the website and url to the image of which you want people to pin. In the plus side, it works like the Facebook Like button as it comes with the count bubble.

Then I decided to grab the code from the Pin It Button for Bookmark, attach it on a button and add it to the website. After few test and help from PiotrKrzyzek.com, I managed to add the Pin It button (Designed by Chykalophia Design) to the end of the blog post as shown on the image below.

So now, how did we do it you ask? Here’s the cheat code you can use:

ps: Place the cheat code above under the content of your post or page. Do not forget to set the to your Pin it Button. Then, you can style it using CSS. :)

Custom Wedding Invitation Set – Letterpress Print

Last February I held a custom wedding invitation contest for future brides and grooms who are still planning for their upcoming wedding. One of the winners for the contest is Carly & Kirk with their destination wedding to Cabo, Mexico. I received their invitation set on the mail and really thrilled to see the beautiful design for their wedding invitation on letterpress print.
