- The challenge1/3
- The community website kept breaking as it grew, so the founders spent their time fixing tech problems instead of creating great experiences for members.
- What we did2/3
- Strategy, UX and tech work that rebuilt the site as a stable membership platform with a consistent member experience.
- The result3/3
- A platform that served members reliably, so the team could focus on members and grow into new member segments.

Fertility Rally is an online community run by co-founders Ali Prato and Blair Nelson. Their website was slowly breaking apart.
The problem
Ali and Blair kept facing issue after issue with the site. Instead of creating great experiences for their members, they were pulling their hair out fixing tech problems that kept coming up.
They wanted a thousand or more members on the site, spread across different buckets. To get there they needed a stable system underneath: a platform that serves members reliably, rather than one that constantly demands attention.
Before
- Plans something for members
- Something breaks on the site
- Stops to fix the tech
- Back to firefighting
After
- Plans something for members
- The platform holds up
- Builds the member experience
- Time goes to the community
What we built
- StrategyA strategy for growthA plan for the site to grow into different member buckets.
- UI/UXA consistent member experienceUX that gave members the same experience across the whole site, from joining to the member area.
- UI/UXA content hub for membersRally on Demand replays, the podcast and the 10 Mins With interviews, each with its own page.
We designed 23 pages in all, from the homepage and membership plans to checkout and the member account area, then built the site from those designs.
The results
After the rebuild, Fertility Rally ran on a stable membership platform instead of a site that kept breaking. Ali and Blair could put their time into members rather than fixing tech, on a foundation built for the community they were building.
“Chykalophia team shared our vision for our community website from design, speed, and other various functions including our membership arm.”
